14 October 2019 News
No one had to be evacuated during a gas leak at Waupun Memorial Hospital Sunday morning. Hospital spokeswoman Shelly Haberman says hospital staff quickly alerted the Waupun Fire Department about a potential gas leak after a boiler fault alarm sounded. Firefighters and Alliant Energy quickly responded and identified and addressed the problem. Fire Department officials gave the all-clear and hospital operations resumed. Haberman says at no time were patients, visitors or staff at risk. She says they appreciate the quick response from fire officials and Alliant Energy.
