Fox Valley Workforce Development Board Elects New Officers

The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board has elected four leaders from the public and private sectors to lead the organization for a one-year term during the 2019-2020 fiscal year, which began July 1, 2019.

Jason Hendricks (pictured above) was elected Chair of the Board for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. Hendricks has been a member of the Board since 2015 and is employed by J. F. Ahern in Fond du Lac as a Human Resource Business Partner since April 2015. Besides the role on the FVWDB, he volunteers on the Moraine Park Foundation Board of Directors and is Industry Co-Chair of Project G.R.I.L.L. (Growing Readiness in Learning and Leading) in Fond du Lac. Hendricks is a resident of Fond du Lac and a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Brian Kaminske was elected Vice Chair of the Board.  Kaminske has been a member of the Board since 2016 and is employed as a Human Resource Manager for Waupaca Foundry in Waupaca, where he has been employed for 25 years. He holds accreditation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources.  He is a resident of Weyauwega and earned both his undergraduate and master of business administration degrees from Lakeland University.

Laura Biehn was elected Secretary of the Board.  Biehn has been a member of the Board since 2015 and has been employed as a Senior HR Business Partner at Sargento Foods, Inc., in Hilbert since 2017. She is past chapter president of the Oshkosh Area Society of Human Resource Managers and previously served at the State District Director of Northeast Wisconsin Chapters of SHRM. Biehn is a resident is of Oshkosh and earned her undergraduate degree in business administration from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

Dale Walker has been elected treasurer and will chair the Board’s Finance Committee. Walker has been a member of the Board since 2014 and is employed by Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton as the Director of Business and Industry for more than 12 years. Dale has served on the Strategic Planning Committee for Hortonville Area School District, the Village of Hortonville and is the former chair of the parish council at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, also in Hortonville. He received his bachelor of business administration in finance, from University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MBA from Concordia University–Wisconsin. He is currently working toward a PhD. in philosophy, educational leadership and administration at Marian University.

Aimee Hostettler has been named Immediate Past Chair of the Board for the 2019-2020 year. Hostettler has been a member of the Board since 2013 and is employed by Grande Cheese Company in Fond du Lac as a Human Resource Business Partner II since 2018.  She volunteers on the Fond du Lac United Way Board, at Edgewood Community Church and with Junior Achievement. Aimee is a resident of St. Peter in the Fond du Lac area. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management from Marian University.

The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board honored two officers who completed terms as board officers on June 30, 2019. Jodie Larsen, Vice President of Community Engagement for Oshkosh Corporation in Oshkosh, completed a multi-year term as Immediate Past Board Chair. Tony Beregszazi, deputy director of ADVOCAP in Fond du Lac, completed a multi-year term as Treasurer and chair of the Board’s Finance Committee.

The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board, based in Neenah, represents the six counties of Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Waupaca, Waushara and Winnebago. Leaders from a variety of employers, training providers, labor unions, chambers, economic development agencies and other private and public entities, come together to solve workforce issues in their workforce development area.

Funded primarily by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), the FVWDB leads a number of workforce development and job training programs in its six county area.
