Posting information about and photos of a suspect vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident in Appleton paid off for police Monday. Appleton Police say they arrested a suspect in Sunday night’s incident at Wisconsin Avenue and Oneida Street in which a black Jeep hit a motorcyclist and left the scene. They credited those who gave them information about the incident based on a Facebook post. Police did not say how serious the motorcyclist injuries were.

Appleton Police are looking for the driver of a black Jeep that struck a motorcyclist near Wisconsin Avenue and Oneida Street Sunday night and left the scene. The Jeep continued heading west through Badger Avenue into Grand Chute. The Jeep had damage to the front driver’s side. Police say it was not a deadly accident, but didn’t give details about the motorcyclist’s injuries. Photos of the suspect’s Jeep can be seen at Hometown Broadcasting.com.
