Waupaca Teen Allegedly Threatens To Shoot Up High School

18 September 2019 News

A 17-year-old Waupaca High School student has been charged with making terrorist threats after threatening to bring a gun to school and to shoot students in a hallway after lunch. Dominick Silva was released on a $5,000 signature bond after making an initial appearance in Waupaca County court Tuesday. According to the criminal complaint Sunday police were tipped off by a person Silva had told his plans to. Silva allegedly admitted to police he had told some people that, but was not serious and didn’t have access to guns. He allegedly said there was one student in particular he wanted dead, but no other students or faculty members were considered targets.  When police searched Silva’s room they found knives and a hatchet, but no gun. Silva was charged as an adult. A preliminary hearing hasn’t been scheduled yet.
