Manawa House Explosion Victim Identified

Authorities in Waupaca County have released the name of the man killed in house explosion in Manawa Sunday morning. Sixty-four-year-old Mark Steve Zielke died in the explosion at the County Highway N and County Road T intersection. Sheriff Tim Wilz says it’s likely Zielke was still sleeping when the explosion occurred around 8:45 am. The Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office, Manawa Fire Department, Iola Fire Department, Marion Fire Department and Scandinavia Fire Department all responded to the scene. The cause of the explosion is still being determined.
