Tyler Webb (1-1) earned his first major-league victory with one-third inning of work in his 79th career game. He struck out pitch-hitter Ben Gamel. The Cardinals have won nine of their last 11 games, while the Brewers have lost six of their last eight. Rodgers was scheduled to play at least a quarter against the Baltimore Ravens but instead was sidelined. Rodgers returned to practice on Monday and said it was up to Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur as to whether or not he would play. LaFleur was asked on Tuesday but he didn’t have an answer. LaFleur has said multiple times he doesn’t need Rodgers to play in the preseason for him to be ready for the week one match up against the Chicago Bears. The Packers play the Oakland Raiders Thursday night in Winnipeg.
