He was taken to the UW-Hospital in Madison. Two residents were home when the crash occurred. A woman was trapped in the bedroom by the car and a man was in the kitchen of the home, neither was injured. Enrollment In Ripon Schools Expected To Increase This Fall
If enrollment estimates are correct more than 1,700 students will be attending Ripon Area School District schools this fall. District Superintendent Mary Whitrock says numbers have been down in recent years. “We were right around 1,650 last year and we’ve been in some declining enrollment it’s tapered a bit which has been nice and now on top of that officially when you count in our open enrollment we will be closer to 1,700 so that’s nice.” She says it helps that they have over 100 students registered for their new virtual school. The official enrollment count for the state isn’t until the third Friday in September.
Scoop The Loop Returns To Ripon Saturday
Cruising downtown Ripon will be allowed this Saturday during the “Scoop the Loop”event. Organizers are hoping that it will become an annual event. The main attraction is the ability to cruise the downtown with your vehicle a practice the city outlawed about 25 years ago, but is allowing for the event. Downtown Manager Craig Tebon says they are hoping people will make a day of it. “We have a lot of great shops and restaurants so come do some shopping, do some lunch, some dinner that kind of thing and Scoop the Loop. But also that evening we are going to do an outdoor movie at the Village Green.” Doc Brown and Marty McFly will be going “Back to the Future” for the film that will begin about 8:30 or dusk. Scoop the Loop hours are from 5 to 9 pm. The movie will run until about 10:30. A map of the Scoop the Loop route will be available on the Ripon, Wisconsin Facebook page.
