8 August 2019 News

It was a busy Wednesday morning for a 34-year-old Fond du Lac man who was supposed to have a jury trial in Fond du Lac County court on a cocaine trafficking charge. Instead Matthew Britton pled guilty or no contest to a number of charges in four separate cases. Some of the charges he pleaded to included; cocaine trafficking, theft, battery, disorderly conduct domestic abuse, misappropriation of ID to obtain money and more charges were read into the record and dismissed. Britton had been suspected of five daytime burglaries in the Towns of Friendship and Eldorado, but was also suspected of drug dealing and domestic abuse. Cash and 17 firearms were taken during the burglaries. A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for October 18th.
