Beaver Dam Man Charged For Shooting Incident In North Fond du Lac

19 August 2019 News

A 27-year-old Beaver Dam is facing first degree recklessly endangering safety charges for shooting off a handgun outside a home in North Fond du Lac Sunday, August 11th. Bond was set at $10,000 cash when Jesse Rocha made an initial appearance in Fond du Lac County court last Thursday. According to the criminal complaint Rocha went to the home at 61 Mockingbird Lane in the Gaslight Terrace Manufactured Home Community to get back money a 17-year-old acquaintance had lost in a bad drug deal. The person who had sold his friend bogus marijuana no longer lived in the home. The marijuana turned out to be ground up broccoli. Rocha allegedly knocked on the door and shot off a handgun before anyone could answer the door. No one was injured in the incident. The friend had gone with Rocha to North Fond du Lac, but did not see him fire the gun. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Friday. Rocha had been drinking the day of the incident that and allegedly shooting the gun violated bond conditions for a Dodge County court case in which he’s charged with Cocaine possession and disorderly conduct.
