11 July 2019 News
The 20-year-old Fond du Lac man suspected of trying to beat his 73-year-old stepfather to death with a tire iron has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to charges stemming from the January 15th incident. Ryan Robison was arraigned in Fond du Lac County court this week. Judge Robert Wirtz ordered a mental evaluation. The state could ask for a second evaluation after the first is received. Authorities say Gary Bloedorn suffered severe head injuries, broken ribs, a ruptured lung and other injuries in the attack at the Evergreen Village Apartments in Fond du Lac. In addition part of a finger was severed in the attack. Robison is currently being held at the Mendota Mental Health Institute. A status conference is scheduled in the case on August 28th.
