A plane that left Oshkosh crashed in Nebraska killing all three people on board Wednesday afternoon. Officials in Nebraska say the plane went down in a farm field about 3 miles northwest of the city of Chadron. The Chadron Municipal Airport is located about a half mile north of where the plane ended up. The pilot and two passengers died at the scene. A Federal Aviation Administration spokesman says the plane was a two-engine Beechcraft Baron 55 that crashed approaching the airport. The spokesman confirmed the plane’s flight originated from Oshkosh. It’s not known yet whether the plane was leaving EAA AirVenture.
