Boy Suffers Critical Injuries In Dodge County ATV Accident

1 July 2019 News

A nine-year-old boy from Rio suffered life-threatening injuries when the ATV he was riding on rolled over at an intersection in Dodge County’s Town of Emmet Saturday night. Sheriff’s officials say he was a passenger on an ATV being operated by a 48-year-old Watertown man. The man lost control of the ATV on County Road M and Rhine Road and both were ejected when the ATV rolled over. They were taken to the Watertown Hospital. The man was later transferred to Aurora Hospital in Summit with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The boy was flown to Children’s Hospital in Madison. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident.
