Pedestrian Involved In Fatal Winnebago County Accident Identified
The 24-year-old Oshkosh man that was struck and killed by a semi-truck as he was walking on I-41 southbound in Winnebago County early Sunday morning has been identified. Sheriff’s officials say Nile Alsuwailih was walking in the travel lanes of the highway. The semi driver, a 55-year-old Van Dyne man, was not injured in the accident. He told investigators he tried to take evasive action and cooperated fully with the investigation. It is believed that neither alcohol nor drugs were a factor for the driver and no citations were issued. The accident south of State Highway 44 occurred about 2:44 Sunday morning.
Motorcyclist Involved In Winnebago County Accident Dies
A 42-year-old Kaukauna man involved in motorcycle accident in Winnebago County on June 2nd has passed away from his injuries. Sheriff’s officials say Robert Winkers and a passenger went off of County Highway M near Clarks Point Road after hitting some loose gravel on a curve and went into a ditch. They suffered what were considered minor injuries at the time, but Winkers passed away from his injuries last Saturday. No citations were issued, and alcohol and drugs weren’t a factor. They were traveling with a small group of motorcycles in the Town of Winneconne when the accident occurred.
