Monday, June 24 at 6:30 P.M. Colossal Fossils presents Dinosaur vs. the Asteroid!
This space themed program highlights the most famous extinction event of all time. 66 million years ago, a giant, Mount Everest-sized rock from outer space slammed into the earth. It was not a good day to be a dinosaur. However, many animals survived and prospered. “Dinosaurs vs. The Asteroid” describes this extinction event in detail while comparing animals that lived before and after that fateful day. While the long-necked dinosaurs are long gone, giraffes are here to take their place. Though the famous Triceratops is no longer roaming the floodplains, today we have massive herds of bison. Put it this way: If that rock didn’t hit Earth, this place would look a lot different! Family-friendly, interesting for kids, adults and just about anybody who’s breathing!
