Ripon Man Arrested For Incident At BMO Harris Bank

Ripon Police arrested a 36-year-old Ripon man who made threatening statements when he entered the BMO Harris Bank late Tuesday morning. Police Chief Bill Wallner says the man was dressed in black and had a mask covering his face, dark head covering, and sunglasses. He made statements to bank employees about money and wanting the responding officers to shoot or kill him. Officers took him into custody when they arrived. Ripon Police and the Fond du Lac County Communications Center got several 911 calls concerning a possible bank robbery in progress shortly after 11 am Tuesday morning. The investigation is ongoing.
