Ripon Woman Charged With Two Counts Of OWI Causing Injury

The 33-year-old Ripon woman who was allegedly driving a vehicle that rolled over on Fond du Lac County Highway E injuring herself and two passengers made her initial court appearance Thursday. Majesta Lauzon was charged with two counts of operating while intoxicated causing injury. She was released on a $1,500 signature bond and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 9th. She and her passengers 30-year-old Cody Wierl of Ripon and 28-year-old Kyle Chipman of Neshkoro were taken to Ripon Medical Center. Town of Ripon Police Captain Howard Stibb says Lauzon was released that night and taken into custody. Chipman stayed at the hospital overnight and was released the next day. Wierl was transferred to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah and was released Sunday. Lauzon’s 2003 Pontiac Grand AM failed to negotiate a curve and went off County Highway E south of Cork Street Road where it rolled over and came to rest on its roof.
