Powerball Winner Comes Forward

Wisconsin and the nation were introduced to the $768.4 million Powerball winner Tuesday in Madison. Twenty-four-year-old Manuel Franco of West Allis said , “To win feels like a dream” and added “I just can’t believe an ordinary guy like me would ever be in this position.” Franco claimed the cash option of $477 million for the March 27th jackpot. After state and federal taxes his winnings will come to $326 million. The $768.4 million prize was the third largest in U.S. Lottery history.
