A 44-year-old Neenah man facing charges for a boating accident on Lake Winnebago last summer that killed two sisters made his initial appearance in Winnebago County court Monday. Brian Sullivan is charged with two counts of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle for the August 18th collision that killed 26-year-old Lauren Laabs and her 20-year-old sister Cassie Laabs. The two women were thrown from their boat during the collision and drowned. They were not wearing life jackets. Their father Kim was driving their boat. Sullivan’s blood alcohol content was above the legal limit. Sullivan was released on a signature bond and will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on May 23rd.
