Kayaker Rescued From Lake Winnebago

Fond du Lac firefighters and a Good Samaritan were able to rescue a 40-year-old Fond du Lac man from Lake Winnebago after his kayak overturned Tuesday afternoon. North Fond du Lac EMS treated Ben Hull at the scene and took him to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. A resident of Lakeshore Drive spotted Hull having problems on the water and called 911. Hull was unable to get his kayak back to shore due to high winds and waves. He wasn’t dressed properly to be submerged in the water and didn’t have a personal flotation device. The time of the rescue call was 2:52 pm.
