After an off day on Thursday, the Brewers resume their west coast road trip tonight, opening a weekend series against the Dodgers. Milwaukee dropped a three-game series to the Angels and are tied with St. Louis for first in the NL Central at 8-5. The Dodgers are 8-6, a game behind San Diego in the NL West. Right-hander Corbin Burnes, who’s 0-1 on the season, will start for Milwaukee against Los Angeles left-hander Julio Urias, who has not had a decision in two games. First pitch is at 9:10 CDT. The game can be heard AM1100 and 98.3 FM, WISS.

In the NL Central Thursday, the Cubs shut out the Pirates 2-0, the Cardinals downed the Dodgers 11-7 and Cincinnati blanked Miami 5-0.

The Bucks open their first-round playoff series Sunday, hosting the Detroit Pistons. Milwaukee won the Eastern Conference with 60-22 record.

Meanwhile Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Month for March/April. This is the fourth Player of the Month honor for Antetokounmpo this season after he won the award for the months of February, December and October/November. This month’s honor marks the fifth time he’s won Player of the Month in his career. Antetokounmpo averaged 30.0 points, 12.2 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.8 blocked shots per game, while shooting 57.0 percent from the field and 75.8 percent from the foul line, in March/April.

Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka share the first-round lead at the Masters, each shooting a six-under par 66 on Thursday. Three-time champion Phil Mickelson is one shot off the pace while Ian Poulter and Dustin Johnson are two strokes back. Tiger Woods shot an opening round 70 and is four shots behind the leaders.
