Chilton Man Arrested After FDL County Chase

A 39-year-old Chilton man is facing charges for leading Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies on an 8-mile chase that began in the town of Calumet and culminated in the city of Fond du Lac Saturday afternoon. A deputy initially tried to stop the man who was going 98 miles an hour on Highway 151. The man made it past a tire deflation device and at times was traveling at the speed limit in Fond du Lac. Eventually he was stopped during a moving roadblock technique. He is facing charges for eluding, drunken driving and faces others for having his four children, all under the age of 14, in the vehicle with him. Fond du Lac Police assisted in the pursuit, which began at 4:15 pm.
