The Milwaukee Bucks lost at Phoenix Monday night, 114-105. Giannis Antetokoumnpko led six players in double figures for Milwaukee with 21 points. He also had 13 rebounds and six assists. The loss dropped the Bucks to 46-16 overall but they still have the best overall record in the league and lead the Toronto Raptors by two games in the Eastern Conference.

Meanshile, the Bucks have signed guard Eric Bledsoe to a contract extension.

The 29-year old Bledsoe is averaging 15.9 points, 5.5 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game for the East-leading Bucks. His 49.2 field goal percentage is a career high.

The signing was announced Monday before Bledsoe took the court against one of his former teams, the Phoenix Suns, which traded him to Milwaukee in November 2017. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Bledsoe has scored in double figures 50 times this season with 15 20-point games and two 30-point games. He’s in his ninth NBA season and has appeared in 553 career games.

Bledsoe missed the Bucks’ last game, Saturday at Utah, with back soreness. He’s started all 61 games he has played this season.

After an off-day Monday, the Brewers play the Rockies this afternoon. Corbin Burnes, who’s 0-1, goes against Chad Bettis. Milwaukee is 3-7 so in the spring while Colorado is 3-5.

Jimmy Nelson passed another mound test Monday when he threw to hitters for the first time this spring, marking another step forward for the Brewers right-hander as he mounts a comeback from right shoulder surgery after missing last season.

After warming up in the bullpen, Nelson threw approximately 20 pitches and went three up, three down against Brewers Minor Leaguers Cooper Hummel, who flied out, Dillon Thomas, who struck out and Mario Feliciano, who grounded out.

The next step is a more extended batting practice late this week with simulated inning breaks.

The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are excited to announce the signings of two players from the University of Notre Dame. Jack Alexander and Zack Prajzner will both be joining the Dock Spiders’ squad this summer.

Alexander, a freshman catcher from Loch Loyd, MO, is playing his first season for Notre Dame this spring. He was ranked by Perfect Game as the 31st best catcher in the 2018 high school class.

Prajzner, a 6’0″ freshman infielder from Notre Dame, led San Marcos High School to two CIF San Diego Section titles and two Avocado East League championships. He was a two-time team captain and four-time All-Avocado East League member. As a senior, he hit .379 with a .984 fielding percentage.
