The announcement was made Wednesday by General Manager Brian Gutekunst. Kuhn originally started his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of Shippensburg (Pa.) University, spending time on the Steelers' practice squad (2005) and active roster (nine games played in 2006) before being claimed off waivers by the Packers in 2007. During his nine seasons with Green Bay, he played in 139 regular-season games with 32 starts as well as 15 postseason contests with five starts. Kuhn played in the second most regular-season games in team history among running backs/fullbacks, behind only FB William Henderson (188).
The Milwaukee Bucks have assigned forward Christian Wood to the Wisconsin Herd. Wood has appeared in 23 games (all starts) with the Herd this season and is averaging 28.7 points, 13.7 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.0 blocks per game while shooting 55.1 percent from the field. He's played in 13 games with the Bucks this season and is averaging 2.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in 4.7 minutes per contest. Wood was active for the Herd game Wednesday night against the Santa Cruz Warriors. The Fond du Lac Dock Spiders are excited to announce the signings of four more players for the 2019 season. Tim Elko (Ole Miss), Parker Johnson (Indiana Wesleyan), Jordan Wharton (Indiana Wesleyan), & Kyle Hall (Indiana Wesleyan) will all be joining the Dock Spiders' squad this summer. In Cactus League baseball from Wednesday, the Brewers edged the Diamondbacks, 5-4, at Maryvalle. Erik Kratz went 3-for-3 with his second home run of the spring and drove in two runs for Milwaukee while Eric Thames went 2-for-3 and hit his first home run and drove in two. Jhoulys Chacin started and went three innings, giving up two runs on one hit. Burch Smith picked up the win, despite giving up to runs on three hits in one inning of work and Adrian Houser notched his first save. The Brewers play the White Sox on Thursday. Meanwhile,Jeremy Jeffress’ spring debut, which had been delayed a few days by what Brewers manager Craig Counsell characterized as a bout of shoulder soreness, was cut short after three pitches due to an apparent injury in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the D-backs at American Family Fields of Phoenix. The last of Milwaukee’s late-inning relief trio of Jeffress, Josh Hader and Corey Knebel to get into a Cactus League game, Jeffress is coming off a career year in which he pitched a team-high 73 times in the regular season with a 1.29 ERA. He was not as effective in the postseason, however, allowing six earned runs and 16 hits in eight innings.

Pirates forward Michael Nzei hit four free throws in the final minute, and guard Jared Rhoden added two.
Sam Hauser led Marquette with 25 points, but the big thing was Seton Hall’s defense on Big East Conference scoring leader Markus Howard. Howard came in averaging almost 26 points in league action but was limited to six points on 2-of-11 shooting.

Marquette University women's basketball senior guard Natisha Hiedeman has been unanimously selected as BIG EAST Player of the Year, the second straight season that a Marquette player has earned the accolade. Major awards and all-conference teams were selected by a vote of the BIG EAST head coaches who were not allowed to vote for their own players. As well as garnering the league's top honor, Hiedeman was the lone unanimous selection on the All-BIG EAST First Team. Senior guard Allazia Blockton was also a major award winner as she picked up the BIG EAST Sixth-Woman Award, while classmates Erika Davenport and Amani Wilborn earned All-BIG EAST Second Team and All-BIG EAST Honorable Mention honors, respectively. Hiedeman saved her finest season for her last as she emerged as a dominant force in the league with a BIG EAST-leading 13 20-point games this season, 11 of those coming in conference play. She surpassed the 30-point mark twice, including the highest scoring performance in BIG EAST action since 2017 when she exploded for 34 at Seton Hall on Feb. 17. Hiedeman was second in league play with 18.9 points per game and grabbed 6.1 boards, while dishing 3.9 assists and picking up 2.4 steals per game. She is just the second player in Marquette history to be named Player of the Year after Blockton earned the honor in 2017-18.
