Crash Near Green Lake Turns Deadly

Update:

Green Lake County Sheriff’s officials say a pickup truck driver who died following a crash with a garbage truck just east of Green Lake Monday was a 27-year-old Ludington, Michigan man. A passenger in the pickup and the 44-year-old Beaver Dam man driving the garbage truck were not hurt. The collision occurred on County Highway A north of Illinois Avenue at 7:44 am. The pickup was northbound and crossed over the center line into the path of the southbound refuse truck. The two collided nearly head on. The pickup driver was extricated from the truck and was flown to a Fox Valley trauma center where he died. Both vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash. Names will be released today (Tuesday).

The Green Lake County Sheriff’s Department now says one person was killed in a collision between a garbage truck and a pickup truck Monday morning. The crash occurred on County Highway A just east of the city of Green Lake. It happened between the intersections with Illinois Avenue and Klaver Streets. ThedaStar helicopter flew one person to an area hospital. Green Lake County Chief Deputy Sheriff Mark Putzke confirmed late Monday morning that one person died in the accident.

The crash occurred on County Highway A just east of the city of Green Lake this morning. It happened between the intersections with Illinois Avenue and Klaver Streets. ThedaStar helicopter flew one person to an area hospital. The driver of the pickup truck had to be extricated from it.
