14 Area Wrestlers claimed WIAA Indivisual State Ttile
Two Rivers send a trio to state in Division 2. All three got it done, including sophomore Matty Bianchi who knocked off 3-time defending state champ Bryce Bosman of Lux-Casco for a 3rd time in 3 weeks.
Big brother Joey Bianchi, who lost to Bosman 3 times at state, got his first time at 145.
And senior 126-pounder Cody Holmes won his 2nd state title.
In Dividions 3, Coleman had a trio of champions as well, with Jake Baldwin at 145, Caleb Gross at 126, and Koltin Grzybowski at 113.
In Division 1 there were 3 area champs.
Hortonville’s Eric Barnett, who has been ranked #1 in the nation, won at 126.
Ashwaubenon’s Cody Minor was victorious at 113.
Bay Port’s Max Meeuwsen claimed the crown at 285.

Abbie Aalsma scored 21 points and Peyton McGinnis added 17 as the Warriors bolted out to an 18-point lead in the first half and cruised to the win over the Cardinals.
Waupun’s Claire Harder had 11 rebounds while McGinnis had eight.
The Cardinals were led by Amber Schraufnagel’s 15 points.
LACONIA 59, BERLIN 24
Kiarra Otto, Lexy Smit and Maci Grade combined for 34 points in the Spartans’ win over the Indians.
Otto led the way with 14 while Smit and Grade both scored 10.
Berlin was led by Emily Klawitter with eight points.

MISHICOT 44, WINNEBAGO LUTHERAN 40
MISHICOT – The Indians made 15-of-21 free throws in the second half to hold off the Vikings.
Kylie Schmidt led Mishicot with 12 points.
Geneva Hewitt had 14 points for Winnebago Lutheran.

Women’s College Hoops (Sat.)
Ripon beat Mommouth College 55-48 Saturday. The Tigers win the 2019 Midwest Conference Tournament to earn an automatic bid to next weekend's NCAA Division-III Tournament. This is Ripon's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2009. Laurissa Johhson scored 14 points to lead four Redhawks in double figures. Ripon advanced to the title game after Friday after rallying to beat St. Norbert's 44-40. The Red Hawks ended the ame on an 11-0 run in the final five minutes to erase a seven-point deficit.
