Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 19 points, Khris Middleton had 18 and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Raptors 105-92 on Thursday night, ending Toronto’s season-best home winning streak at 10 games.

D.J. Wilson scored a career-high 16 points and Eric Bledsoe had 14 as Milwaukee (37-13) clinched the season series with their third victory in four meetings with Toronto this season. The Bucks stayed atop the Eastern Conference, 1 1/2 games ahead of the Raptors (37-16).

The victory ensures the Bucks will have the best winning percentage in the East through Feb. 3, meaning Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer and his staff will represent the conference at next month’s NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Milwaukee, which has won eight of nine, had not won the season series against Toronto since 2012-13. The Bucks play at Washington Saturday night.

Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton has been selected as a reserve for the 2019 NBA All-Star Game, the NBA announced today. This is the first-career All-Star selection for Middleton who will join teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo at the 2019 NBA All-Star Game in Charlotte when it tips-off from Spectrum Center on Sunday, Feb. 17. Antetokounmpo and Middleton are the first Bucks duo to be selected to an All-Star Game since 2001 when both Ray Allen and Glenn Robinson represented the Bucks. This is the 13th time in franchise history that Milwaukee has had multiple All-Stars.

The Green Bay Packers have retained defensive line coach Jerry Montgomery and running backs coach Ben Sirmans and promoted Jason Simmons to defensive backs coach and Ryan Downard to assistant defensive backs coach. Head Coach Matt LaFleur made the announcement Thursday.

The Los Angles Rams and the New England Patriots continue to practice for Sunday’s Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta. There are several keys in the game for the Rams. One is to get the running game jump-started to give quarterback Jared Goff some time to get comfortable in the passing game. If pressured, Goff is very mobile through when he gets flushed out of the pocket and is forced to run. For the Patriots, the offensive front line will have to stop defensive tackle Aaron Donald who is considered the best defensive player in the game and is a leading candidate for winning the league’s Defensive Player of the Year award for the second straight season. The Patriots will look take to take the pressure off quarterback Tom Brady by getting their running going. It should be a good one.
