Sports from Wayne Mausser

Green Bay Packers Head Coach Matt LaFleur has chosen Nathaniel Hackett to serve as his offensive coordinator.

Hackett spent the last four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He served as quarterback coach from 2015-16, and then offensive coordinator until late 2018.

Hackett called plays for the Jaguars during his time as OC. In 2017, the Jaguars offense ranked sixth in the NFL and fifth in points. Last season, however, the Jaguars ranked 27th in total offense and struggled with Blake Bortles and Cody Kessler at quarterback. Hackett was let go on Nov. 26.

Prior to the Jaguars, Hackett spent two seasons with the Buffalo Bills as their offensive coordinator. He’s the son of former college football and NFL coach Paul Hackett.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 points and 11 rebounds as the Milwaukee Bucks used a third-quarter outburst to capture their third straight win, 111-101 over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.

Eric Bledsoe added 16 points and D.J. Wilson scored 13 for the Bucks, who won for the 14th time in 17 games.

Omri Casspi led the Grizzlies with 17 points. Marc Gasol, Mike Conley and JaMychal Green scored 14 points apiece for Memphis, which lost its ninth in the last 10.

The Bucks play the Magic Saturday in Orlando.
