The NFL Wild Card playoff round is over….
Yesterday, the Los Angeles Chargers held on to win at Baltimore over the Ravens 23 to 17 and will play this Sunday at New England in the AFC Divisional round of the playoffs.
In the last Wild Card game Sunday the Bears missed a 43 yard field goal with just seconds left and lost at home to the Philadelphia Eagles, 16-15. Philadelphia will play at New Orleans on Sunday.
In Saturday’s AFC Wild Card round, Indianapolis won at Houston 21-7 and will play at Kansas City on Saturday. In the NFC, Dallas held on to win at home over Seattle 24-22 and will play the Rams Saturday on the road.
The Associated Press announced its NFL All Pro team on Friday. Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari was named to the first team. He was the only Packer selected.
Markus Howard scored 26 points, Sacar Anim had 20 and No. 16 Marquette remained unbeaten at home with a 70-52 victory over Xavier on Sunday.
The Golden Eagles (12-3, 1-1) bounced back from an 89-69 loss at St. John’s in their Big East opener on New Year’s Day. They improved to 11-0 at the new Fiserv Forum.
Naji Marshall had 21 points for Xavier (9-7, 1-2), and Paul Scruggs finished with 17.
Marquette plays at Creighton on Wednesday.
In the Big 10 Sunday, the Badgers won at Penn State 71-52. Ethan Happ led Wisconsin with 22 points.
