1 January 2019 News

A 25-year-old Brandon woman was killed in a two-vehicle crash on State Highway 26 in the Town of Rosendale early Monday afternoon. Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s officials say Rose Larson was heading south on the snow and ice-covered roadway when she lost control. Her vehicle spun and entered the northbound lane where it was struck by a vehicle being driven by 61-year-old Jane Piddington of Winneconne. Larson was wearing a seatbelt, but died at the scene. A dog in her car also died in the crash. Piddington suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Mercy Medical Center in Oshkosh. She was also wearing her seatbelt. The Wisconsin State Patrol, Rosendale Fire Department and First Responders, Ripon Ambulance, and the Fond du Lac County Highway Department assisted the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office at the scene. The accident near Griffth Road was reported shortly after 12:30 pm.
