Oshkosh Man Accused In Infant Son’s Death Bound Over For Trial

The 27-year-old Oshkosh man accused of shaking his 7-week-old-son to death has been bound over for trial. Cory Lyons was in Winnebago County court on Thursday for a preliminary hearing. He will be arraigned on January 7th. According to the criminal complaint the baby’s mother left him with Lyons when she went to work on November 29th. Frustrated with the boy’s crying Lyons shook him 5 or 6 times without supporting his head. The child died of a brain injury. Lyons is being held in the Winnebago County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
