Names Released From Brandon Car Versus Train Accident

Brandon-Fairwater Police have released the names of the Brandon couple injured in a collision between their vehicle and a Wisconsin Southern Railroad freight train at East Clark Street in Brandon Monday morning. Police Chief Gary Durkee says 48-year-old Anthony Sauer was driving the vehicle and his wife 45-year-old Pamela Sauer was a passenger. Anthony was taken to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac where he was treated for his injuries and released. Pamela was flown to ThedaClark Regional Medical Center in Neenah with more serious injuries. The train had two locomotives and 44 cars. Durkee says he won’t be citing anyone for the accident, which was reported at 11:40 Monday morning.
