The Packers continue to prepare for the Jets on Sunday on the road. The Packers haven’t gone winless away from Lambeau Field since the 1958 season, a year Green Bay posted its worst record in club history at 1-10-1.
The 5-9-1 Packers have one last chance for a road win this week at the 4-10 New York Jets. It would be a small victory to shoot for closing out a second consecutive season with no playoffs.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers skipped weeks 16 and 17 of last year’s season after returning week 15 from a broken collar bone. After that loss to the Panthers the team was out of playoff contention, and Rodgers sat out the final two weeks.
However, Rodgers and Interim head coach Joe Philbin said if he is healthy, Rodgers will play the remainder of the season.
Sunday’s game starts at noon central time. The game can be heard on FM1023, The Bug, with the pregame starting at 10:00.
It’s a real-life The Grinch Who Stole Christmas story. The theft of presents by a West Coast Grinch from a Packers defensive star’s toy drive won’t stop Christmas from coming.
Defensive tackle Kenny Clark is holding his second annual toy drive for kids in San Bernardino, Calif. Wednesday night, when they went to the storage unit to get all the presents they had collected, they found the unit broken into and every single toy stolen.
The toy drive reached out for last-minute donations with a GoFundMe page, raising enough money in one day to buy enough toys for more than 200 kids.
Those gifts were handed out Thursday night.
A late night tweet from Jack Coan’s dad proved to be correct.
Thursday, Badgers head coach Paul Chryst confirmed that the sophomore QB, Coan, will start at quarterback in next week’s Pinstripe Bowl in place of an injured Alex Hornibrook. The decision burns Coan’s red-shirt.
Hornibrook suffered a concussion this season and has been in and out of the lineup.
He played against Minnesota. Chryst says Hornibrook did not suffer an injury in that game, but rather had earlier symptoms reappear. Hornibrook has even seen a specialist in Michigan.

Ryan Bartol led the Indians with 15 points, Grant Miller had 13 and Joey Rhein chipped with 11 as Berlin improves to 7-1 on the season and 3-1 in the East Central Conference. The loss was the first of the season for Plymouth who falls to 3-1 in conference play and 6-1 overall.
