FDL Man Wanted On Warrant Caught After Foot Chase
11 December 2018 News
A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy working court security in the Fond du Lac City-County Government Center had an opportunity in the building Monday afternoon to take a 34-year-old Fond du Lac man into custody on an active warrant for failing to pay child support. But the man fled. Sheriff’s Sergeant Ryan Zitlow tells us what happened next. “The male then took off running from the deputy who deployed a Taser, which was ineffective. The male continued disobeying orders to stop and ran in a northwest direction from the City County Government Center.” The man was taken into custody near Arndt and Packer Streets in Fond du Lac. He was taken to the County Jail where he was booked on the warrant and a resisting/obstructing charge. No one was injured during the incident. Fond du Lac Police and the State Patrol assisted the Sheriff’s Department during the incident.
