Daytime Burglaries Reported In FDL County

Update Suspect In Custody

Sheriff’s officials in Fond du Lac County have a 33-year-old Fond du Lac man in custody they suspect was involved in at least five daytime burglaries since October where cash and 17 guns were taken. Matthew R.K. Britton was taken into custody Tuesday. He was wanted on a bench warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia. He was considered armed and dangerous. The burglaries happened at unlocked homes in the Towns of Friendship and Eldorado. Residents are still encouraged to lock their doors when they are away and report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Department. Anyone with information about the burglaries is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 920-929-3390 or you can report anonymously by calling the County Crime Tip Line at 920-906-4777.

Sheriff’s officials in Fond du Lac County have taken reports of at least five daytime burglaries since October where cash and 17 guns were taken. The burglaries happened at unlocked homes in the Towns of Friendship and Eldorado. Residents are asked to lock their doors when they are away and report any suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s Department. That would include people knocking on doors asking for directions and any suspicious vehicles in the area. Those with home security cameras are also asked to check them and report any suspicious activity.
