Criminal Complaint Gives Details About Ripon Drug Bust

Charges have been filed against two Ripon residents in connection with a search warrant that was executed at 115 East Jackson Street last Wednesday. According to the criminal complaint Police arrested Levi Hansen at the public library on warrants. Hansen was killing time waiting for the second half of a drug transaction to occur in the second story apartment at the Jackson Street address. He said the tenant ,20-year-old Owen Nordvold, had gone to Milwaukee to pick up heroin he was going to trade for an ounce of marijuana Hansen had given him. Hansen told police Nordvold was the largest and most well known heroin dealer in the City and supplied 20 to 30 people. He also told them Nordvold sells marijuana, prescription pills and cocaine out of the apartment. Police obtained a warrant and when they searched the apartment found heroin, marijuana, Adderall, Narcan, a variety of pills, drug packaging and paraphernalia, and cash. Nordvold and 21-year-old Skylar Smerling of Ripon were arrested. Nordvold is facing maintaining a drug trafficking place, marijuana trafficking, controlled substance trafficking, and possession of drug paraphernalia charges. Smerling, who was out on bond on another drug case, faces possession of drug narcotics, possession of a controlled substance, and felony bail jumping charges.
