The man who made the Lambeau Leap famous is a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

LeRoy Butler is among the 25 modern era players to make the semifinalist list for the 2019 induction.

Butler played 12 seasons for the Green Bay Packers. The All Pro Safety was part of the Super Bowl XXXI team. Butler racked up 38 career interceptions and more than 20 sacks. This is Butler’s second time as a semifinalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Clay Matthews, father of Packer Clay Matthews, is also among the semifinalists.

The list was narrowed down from 103 nominees named in September.

The 2019 Hall of Fame Class will be announced on the eve of Super Bowl LIII.

Induction will be held in August in Canton, Ohio.

The Packers return to the practice field today getting ready for the Vikings Sunday night in Minneapolis. It’s a must-win for Green Bay if they wish to keep their faint playoff hopes alive. The Packers are 4-5-5 while the Vikings are 5-4-1.

Meanwile, the Packers signed WR Teo Redding to the practice squad on Tuesday.
Redding, a 6-foot-1, 176-pound rookie, was originally signed by the Detroit
Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Bowling Green on May 11. After being
released by the Lions on Aug. 31, he spent a week on the practice squad of the
Washington Redskins. Redding earned second-team All-Mid-American Conference honors
in 2017 after leading the team with eight receiving touchdowns. He will wear No. 88
