Dodge County Homicide Victim Identified
Dodge County authorities have released the name of a homicide victim whose body was found last Wednesday at a Town of Lebanon residence. Sheriff’s officials say 36-year-old Bradlee Gerke of Beaver Dam was found dead at N901 Redwing Road. Sheriff Dale Schmidt stated previously they believe the suspect was already in custody on unrelated charges. An autopsy will determine the cause of death. The investigation continues and more details will be released when a criminal complaint is filed with the District Attorney’s Office.
Winnebago County Sexual Assault Case Result Of Testing Initiative
Winnebago County authorities have scheduled an April 8th trial for the first man charged after the testing of years-old sexual assault kits. Thirty-year-old Aaron Heiden of Eau Claire is charged for the 2008 sexual assault of a Fox Crossing woman. He pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned earlier this year. The Wisconsin Sexual Assault Kit Initiative is responsible for the testing. According to the criminal complaint Heiden met the victim at a bar and went back to her place where he sexually assaulted her.
Pick ‘n Save Adding Hundreds Of Jobs
Pick and Save is adding 500 jobs. The grocery store chain started in Milwaukee 43 years ago and has 106 locations in 58 cities around the state. Some of those locations include stores in Columbus, Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, Neenah, Waupaca and Watertown. The positions are being termed permanent, not temporary. Officials hope to fill the vacancies before the holiday season.
State Of Politics Roundtable
Ripon College will host a roundtable event, The State of Politics, this evening at 4:30 in the Heritage Room of the S.N. Pickard Commons. It will feature speakers from the faculty and administration, members of the student body and members of the community. The event is free and open to the public. Food will be provided.
