Ripon School District Updating Alternative Compensation Model

5 November 2018 News

The Ripon Area School District is updating its alternative compensation model for teachers. District Superintendent Mary Whitrock says in addition to a negotiated annual increase in pay teachers may be eligible for a promotion and another increase in pay under the alternative compensation model once they’ve been with the district for six years. The model has been in place for six years and the district is in the process of updating it. “Because they have all been through that it was the right time to go back and look at our process and make some adjustments and the board reviewed that so we look to have them approve that in November. It’s really just streamlining the process that the teachers use to go through that.” She point out the teachers union and teachers are helped to revise the alternative compensation model.
