Pedestrian Struck By Car On Highway 151 In Dodge County

Dodge County Sheriff’s officials have released the names of those involved in a vehicle versus pedestrian accident on Highway 151 in the Town of Calamus Tuesday morning. Twenty-four-year-old Joanna Amidon of Fox Lake was walking in the right or outside lane of traffic with 44-year-old Desmond Stewart of Beaver Dam when a car struck her throwing her into a grassy area off the highway. Flight for Life flew her to the UW-Hospital in Madison. Amidon suffered non-life threatening injuries, Stewart was not hurt. The motorist that hit her, 25-year-old Dustin Riggins of Madison, stopped and was cooperative with law enforcement.

A woman walking along Highway 151 in the Town of Calamus Tuesday morning was hit by a car and thrown into a grassy area of the highway. Dodge County Sheriff’s officials say the woman was taken to Beaver Dam Community Hospital with serious injuries and Flight for Life flew her to the UW-Hospital in Madison. She was walking with a man in the right or outside lane of traffic when the right side of passenger car in the same lane hit her. The man walking with her was not injured. The driver of the car stopped and was cooperating with law enforcement. The incident was reported shortly after 5:30 am.
