High Speed Chase Over Night In FDL County

Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a 27-year-old Sussex man following a 12-mile high speed chase that extended into Dodge County Monday night. Tire deflation devices were successfully used to reduce the fleeing vehicle’s speed. The chase began when a Sheriff’s deputy saw the vehicle going over 100 miles an hour on I-41 near Highway 151 in the Town of Fond du Lac. The driver is facing felony eluding, recklessly endangering safety, and operating under the influence charges. A 30-year-old woman who was a passenger in the suspect’s vehicle was taken into custody on drug paraphernalia possession and bail jumping charges. Another car not involved in the chase was unable to stop and was damaged by the deflation devices. The pursuit began shortly after 7:30 last evening.
