The Packers continue to get ready for the Miami Dolphins at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Green Bay had a number of injuries in the New England game, but is getting healthy. Cornerback Kevin King, with a groin injury, was the only player who did not practice on Thursday. The Packers, 3-4-1, have lost two straight road games at Los Angeles and New England and need a win over the 5-4 Dolphins to keep their playoff hopes alive. Sundays game starts around 3:20 and can be heard on 1023, the Bug, The pregame starts at 1:00.
Thursday Night Football
The Pittsburgh Steelers won big at home over the Carolina Panthers, 52-21. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 22 of 25 passes for 328 yards and five touchdowns for the Steelers, who improve to 6-2-1 while the Panthers fall to 6-3.
In the NBA, the Milwaukee Bucks upended the Golden State Warriors on the road, 134-111, to improve to 9-2. Eric Bledsoe led Milwaukee with 26 points while Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 and Malcolm Brogdon chipped in with 20.
High School Football Playoffs-Level 4
A couple of area teams are in the state football semi-finals tonight. In Division 1, Kimberly plays #1 Fond du lac in a rematch of the first game of the season when Fond du Lac snapped Kimberly’s 70-game winning streak. Fond du lac is 12-0 while Kimberly is 11-1. The game is at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh.
In Division 5, Lake Country Lutheran plays St. Mary’s Springs at West Bend East High School. Springs is 12-0 and hoping to advance to next weeks finals and repeat as state champs.
College Football-Saturday
U.W. Stout plays at U.W. Oshkosh. The Titans are 3-3 in the WIAC and 5-4 overall.
