Democrats appear to have taken the two top spots in Wisconsin state government. State Schools Superintendent Tony Evers defeated incumbent Governor Scott Walker taking 50 percent of Tuesday’s vote to Walker’s 48 percent. Meanwhile Democratic challenger Josh Kaul looks like the winner in the Attorney General’s race by a 50 to 49 percent margin over incumbent Attorney General Brad Schimel. Kaul is the son of former State Attorney General Peg Lautenschlager who lost a battle to cancer in March. In the U.S. Senate race incumbent Senator Tammy Baldwin received 55 percent of the vote to challenger Leah Vukmir’s 45 percent.
