Highway 23 Expansion Fits DOT Vision For Corridor

State Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says the expansion of State Highway 23 between Fond du Lac and Plymouth is something that fits in with the state Department of Transportation’s long range plans to develop a corridor from Sheboygan to Madison. The state lawmaker from Fond du Lac says it will help both commerce and commuter efforts. He says, “Talking about commerce you are looking to get your products to market as quickly and efficiently as you possibly can and a four-lane is obviously going to be better at doing that than the current state of the highway which is two lanes.” Thiesfeldt says the expansion of State Highway 23 will be a boost for the economy of both the Fond du Lac and Sheboygan area. Barring another legal challenge the expansion project will start next year.
