Shooting Of Family Dog Investigated

The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department is looking into the shooting of a family dog. The Forbes family dog named “Blue” was shot late last Friday morning. The shooter used what appears to be a small caliber rifle such as .22 or possibly an air rifle. “Blue” was shot in the left hind leg. It happened behind the family’s residence at 4143 Alida Lane in Oshkosh in the Town of Omro. A veterinarian treated “Blue” and the dog is recovering, but is on pain medication.
