High Speed Chase Suspect Charged

Bond was set at $1,400 cash for a 30-year-old Wausau man who led a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy on a five mile high speed chase on State Highway 23 last Saturday night. William Connell III has been charged with felony fleeing and four traffic offenses including driving under the influence. He allegedly drove at up to 110 miles an hour after the deputy tried to stop him near County Highway KK in the Town of Rosendale. No one was injured and no property was damaged during the pursuit. Connell will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on October 12th.
