Hairy Situation At Oshkosh PD
9 October 2018 News
It’s going to get hairy at the Oshkosh Police Department over the next few months. It all has to do with a fundraiser for the Journey Together Service Dog organization, which is based in Oshkosh. Through the end of November male employees of the department will be able to sport facial hair, female officers can wear their hair past the collar of their uniform shirts and plain clothes officers and civilian staff can dress casually on Thursdays and Fridays. In return they have to donate $50 to Journey the Together Service Dog organization. The organization provides highly trained service dogs to people diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. Dogs are placed at no charge with qualified Wisconsin residents who are 18 years or older.
