2 September 2018 News

A 47-year-old Neenah man wanted on domestic abuse related charges crashed his airplane in a Waupaca County corn field late Friday night after taking off from Wittman Regional Airport in Oshkosh without clearance. Winnebago County Sheriff’s officials say Andrei Blesinger nearly collided with an Oshkosh Police Squad car when he took off from a runway. Police were there to arrest him on charges stemming from an incident that occurred 18 days earlier. Blesinger suffered severe, but non-life-threatening injuries when he crashed his plane. He was taken to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.
