Firehouse Subs Donates Gear To Town Of FDL Fire Dept

26 September 2018 News

Firehouse Subs in Oshkosh presented the Town of Fond du Lac Fire Department with five sets of bunker gear, worth more than $12,600, Tuesday morning. Each set consists of a fire jacket and pants which will provide firefighters with necessary protection in the line of duty, allowing them to provide safe and efficient services to their community. The lifesaving equipment grant recognizes the company’s goal of keeping communities safe. According to Robin Peters, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Director, “We’re in a very fortunate position that allows us to work together with Firehouse Subs restaurants to raise funds that help provide lifesaving equipment locally and throughout the country.” The money is raised from customers “rounding” up their bill to the nearest dollar, online donations and donations from Firehouse of America. Accepting the award was Town of Fond du Lac Fire Chief Dean Birshbach.
