Fond du Lac County Communications and Emergency Management Director Bobbi Hicken says restoring power and transportation routes have been major focuses during recovery and clean up from Tuesday’s storms. Thursday she and other local officials met with Governor Walker and other state officials prior to Walker’s tour of the storm damage. She says they are calculating costs for the recovery hoping for financial aid from the federal government. National Weather Service officials have estimated at least nine tornadoes hit the state Tuesday. That included tornadoes in Alto, south of Oakfield, southwest of South Byron, West of Brownsville, south of Byron, Brownsville and elsewhere.
