Oshkosh Man Sentenced For Fatal FDL County Traffic Accident

A 20-year-old Oshkosh man has been sentenced to 15 years in prison and seven years of extended supervision for a fiery car crash on State Highway 26 in Fond du Lac County that claimed the life of a 21-year-old Oshkosh woman. Whitney Dorner was in the vehicle with Jonathan Vogel when it rolled over and started on fire. She died at the scene. In May Vogel pleaded no contest to a charge of homicide by vehicle by use of a controlled substance, in this case marijuana. The accident occurred on April 2nd of last year. Vogel gets credit for 237 days he has already served behind bars. He was previously convicted of several traffic offenses including failing to notify police of an accident. District Attorney Eric Toney says the courtroom was packed Monday with family and friends of Whitney who wanted to share how much she meant to them.
